Standard Operating Procedures

Butler & Davis office hours are from 10 am – 6 pm EST, Monday through Friday.  All federal holidays are recognized and client communications are expected to be returned within one business day.

It is recommended that training series workshops be taken in order. However workshops can be taken in any sequence.

Butler & Davis Consulting places great importance on the security of your personal data and only partners with vendors that adhere to the strictest security and data protection standards. Butler & Davis Consulting has implemented technical and organizational security measures to guarantee the security of your personal data. Information is stored on a secure office space and on a password-protected network. Access to client records is restricted to those employees and partners who are entitled to access our systems.

Butler & Davis utilizes Acuity Scheduling for the registration and payment of the class. We are not responsible for data leaks caused by or related to Acuity Scheduling. Privacy Policy

Butler & Davis Consulting collects personally identifiable information in the following ways:

Member and Client Data

When registering for a class you agree to subscribe to our mailing list, we collect the following data from you:

  • First and last name
  • Job title
  • Company
  • Work email address
  • Phone number
  • Area of interest
  • Town/city/state

All personal data collected will only be used to process your registration application, send product updates, occasional special offers or announcements from selected Butler & Davis Consulting and its partners.  We do not sell personal data to anyone and only share.

Events and Data

Individuals within companies provide their corporate information to register for an event. During Conference and event registration, where information is voluntarily provided during event signup, we collect the following information from you:

  • First and last name
  • Job title
  • Company
  • Work email address
  • Phone number
  • Area of interest (e.g. sustainability, climate etc.)
  • Town/city/state
  • Country

Butler & Davis Consulting events may be photographed and/or video/audio recorded for marketing and promotional purposes.

We rely on legitimate interest as the lawful basis under GDPR Article 6(1)(f) for the processing of Events and Butler & Davis Consulting Conference Data.

When you buy something on this website, we collect personal information from you to fulfill the order. We may collect information like your:

  • Billing and shipping address
  • Details relating to your purchase (for example, your shirt size)
  • Email address
  • Name
  • Phone number
  • Visitor data

We share this information with Squarespace, our online store hosting provider so that they can provide website services to us.

As you go through checkout, this site may auto-complete your shipping and billing address by sharing what you type with the Google Places API and returning suggestions to you to improve your checkout experience.

Payment Information

When you purchase services from us, we request you to state your payment card details (name on card, billing address [street address/city/state/country], card type [e.g. Visa], card number, expiration date, security code). We are using a secure third party to manage transactions and ecommerce payment processing.

Your payment information will be stored as long as the third party is entitled or obliged to store it pursuant to legislation. Our third party purchasing portals include PayPal, Stripe and Squareup. Read more about their privacy policy directly on their website. 

Duration of Storage

We will store your personal data until these are no longer necessary for us to process. In certain situations, it may be difficult to envisage an exact period, but the below paragraphs list our periods for the processing of your personal data.

Member and Client Data

  • We store company data, registration and survey data for up to one year in our secure servers. For more information on where and how long your personal data is stored, and for more information contact edavis@butler-davis.com.
  • Client data, i.e. data collected due to your subscription to our mailing list, will be erased as soon as possible after your deregistration to the mailing list.

Transfer of Your Personal Data

We do not rent or sell personally identifiable information with other individuals or organizations.

However, we may transfer your personal data to third parties when it is necessary in order to provide you with our service. Third parties shall mean:

  • Undertakings in the Butler & Davis Consulting
  • Business partners
  • Security-cleared data processors/subcontractors, who are assisting us or the group with IT or other services

When we transfer your personal data to business partners, you should be aware that they might have stored personal data concerning you collected by other means, e.g. if you have been in contact with them in another context.

We also transfer your personal data to the above or other third parties if we are obliged to do so according to legislation or in order to protect our or the group’s interests in legal disputes.

Changes

We recognize that data protection and privacy is an ongoing responsibility, so we reserve our right to make changes to this Data Protection and Privacy Policy from time to time as we undertake new personal data practices or adopt new privacy policies, etc. If such changes are substantial, we will notify you via email, provided that we have your email address.
